OMG such a game changer right!! I have lots of LEDs and also after a break-up a few years ago I instinctively bought myself this, the Philips Hue Go, a colour-changing lamp that looks like a BOWL OF LIGHT 😍 and it has been so so soothing. You can set it to look like a flickering candle or SPACE too!

I’ve felt so frustrated being stuck indoors with the snow and the storm the past week. I was like a kid on Christmas morning today when I realised it was bright and fresh first thing. I instinctively went to the sea and took the deepest, most satisfying breath I have in days.

Something I'll do regularly on here now is post which movies I've been watching on Mubi and if you want me to "gift" one to you – you get to watch that movie for free – then let me know! Today, it was Past Lives. Slow, beautiful, heartbreaking. Not the usual genre I choose, but I'm so glad I did.

I’m also making videos about some of these ideas. I’ll be posting those to TikTok and Instagram, but here’s a little clip (I could only upload 30 seconds here.) Video isn’t my natural habitat, but I’m all about pushing out of my comfort zone at the moment!

I HIGHLY recommend this short story collection for scifi lovers. Think Ted Chiang and Jorge Luis Borges vibes.

We all remember him from Candyman, but Tony Todd was also excellent in one of the best episodes of The X-Files called 'Sleepless'. Highly recommend and it can be watched as a standalone episode even if you don't know much about The X-Files.

If anyone is dreading Christmas, doesn’t have anywhere to go, etc, there are LOADS of really fun and interesting pet sits over Christmas on Trusted Housesitters all over the world (the site I used to do all of the dog sits earlier this year!). Here's me with Peach in Porto & Oreo in Cascais! 🐶✈️
