Former Mixer partner (yes, I still count that), now father and househusband. Streaming will return in the future. For now, I make silly jokes and know obscure information.
Random encounter on the walk from Wawa this evening...

You better not be teasing me. You do it a lot. Don't tease me today.

Wanted to find a clip from Invader Zim, entered it into Google, and--- We're in the worse time line. We are destroying the planet for this.

Did somebody say Hot Wheels?!

I'd always wondered this but thought that perhaps I was weird FOR wondering it and if there was just some obvious reason I was missing. Like are there no fly zones? Are they trying to be discreet? Do they not have to pay for a parking spot if outside a certain radius?

Impressive kid. Went from not knowing how to make a car go forward in LEGO City Undercover a year ago, to relentlessly asking to play Blue Prince. He went from not knowing how to pick up a coin to room relationships, consequences, route planning. Good work for 4 and a half.

Now THAT'S merchandising!

Promise Mascot Agency continues to delight. If this doesn't pique your interest then I don't know what will...

"What's it like watching @chloroshepard.bsky.social play ToeJam & Earl?"

Promise Mascot Agency.
I am a disgraced Yakuza member, sent to resurrect a mascot agency into a profitable business to repay 12 billion yen.
It has (optional) 80s VHS effects all over it. Including rear light trails.
Yeah, I think I'm home....

I found a compromise in the meantime...

NEW GAMES!

Blue Prince came out of nowhere and everybody sings its praises. Plus wife keeps asking if I have any mystery/puzzle games for us.

And after Paradise Killer captivated me, Kaizen Game Works' new game was always going to be an instant grab.

Ohhhh yeah, good stuff.

The bad news is that wife came home and went right to bed feeling sick.

The good news is that I have double the size of dinner to eat... Aww yeah!

Kiddo suddenly decided he likes eggs so I thought we'd look up things we can make which have eggs in them. Within 20 seconds his focus switched from food to the numbers of the pages and then had to count the all, reading out the numbers one page at a time.

He'll be occupied until dinner, at least?

S'alright. I'd have liked to have known about not using the stand mixer at an important stage beforehand rather than as a footnote, but it still came out okay. My buttercream frosting had a couple tablespoons of cocoa powder and some espresso powder thrown in to give a slight chocolate flavour.

We may be on to a winner after all.

Yesterday I made some mini chocolate chip scones (complete with mini chocolate chips, plus a handful of normal size ones I had left over from last month). Only the remaining 4 of the original 12 remain for photo as the others were quickly consumed.

Fair play to Rebellion putting out a solid game these days and charging circa-2000 prices was already a tempting factor, but to find a deluxe edition with discount that comes to just a little more than the base edition would have? Oh you tease! I just have to justify... *checks notes* ...having fun

My Spotify has been pulling Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys a lot recently and choosing to start it as I am walking around to make some tea or something.

And you HAVE to do the walk, right? It's some kind of law.

So I get up out the chair to go to the bathroom and just going down the hallway---

Today's bake: a tiramisu themed brownie. You can tell I'd been planning it carefully because this thing uses THREE EGGS. Worth it, though.

Today's creation: scones made with coconut milk, shredded coconut, and a basil sugar topping on a couple of them as a test.

I experimented with basil sugar on Friday, due to having an excess of fresh basil leaves. It's very bright and fresh. I hear it would go well with lemon. Maybe next time.

Tonight's treat, an oat and coconut thin cookie.
Taste was good but texture was a gnats wing off from where planned, presumably I flattened them just the tiniest amount too thin. But kiddo approved (the hardest benchmark to meet) so tomorrow will come the tweaks.
