One of those situations where we pretend real life is just math. I get the argument (and have made it in the past!), but it sucks that we had 2+ minutes of nothing at the end of the game instead of excitement.

Or if you think bike gears, the chain’s rotation jumps a track to the left or right (in a top-down view) - it’s not a different direction, but a different, parallel track going forward.

It’s not the polling that makes it manufactured. It’s that these people literally have entire “think tanks” focused on manufacturing “crises” so they can manufacture actual crises unbothered.

It’s hideous, BUT the operating instructions still make sense whether you read it as “Push down with palm while turning” or “Push with palm down while turning.”

To be fair, by comparison, if you had the option of hearing vs not hearing Trump, you’d enthusiastically ask for the “not hearing” option, too.

The word “enough” carries all the weight here, though. You get a pitcher to a point where he just wants to go home and IF you gear ahold of one JUST right down the line in Yankee Stadium…it’s an infinite-monkeys-at-typewriters situation, but it’s POSSIBLE.

I mean I grew up on the west coast when the Rams, Raiders, and SuperSonics moved away.
The Mariners, Seahawks, Giants, A’s, Padres, and Angels, IIRC, all at least threatened to move.
Teams showed me real early on that they don’t care about their communities.
