This drawing is an homage to Sir Paul Nurse's pioneering work on the #CellCycle, along with others who laid the groundwork for what we know today, and it's featured on the poster and abstract book of the Salk Cell Cycle meeting. Huge thanks to @salkinstitute.bsky.social‬ and conference organizers!

A common metaphor to describe cellular signaling pathways is an electronic circuit board, which sums up positive and negative input signals and transmits them to the output, which determines entry into mitosis. This is based on a realistic schematic that would be functional when built!

My first time presenting a poster on #SciArt was at VIZBI 2019. I was thrilled to meet an amazing community of creative scientists working on data visualization, science illustrators, and people who transitioned between research and science art. This experience that has led me to where I am today!
