CO officials confirmed a yearling wolf from the Copper Creek Pack was shot in August. He had already endured life alone after his family was relocated.

Extremely relevant to our interests in #idaho. My family drove through the start of a brush fire on Saturday. There was a burned-out car on the side of the road and flames in the median, as a small crew of firefighters tried to keep it from jumping. Within hours, it had consumed 8,000+ acres.
NEW: According to data not previously reported, thousands of firefighting jobs — as many as 27% of them — remain vacant as the nation enters the peak of fire season, with more than 1 million acres burning across 10 Western states.

No decisions were made during Monday’s CPW Commission meeting, but the pressure to escalate lethal action continues.
