Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this bluesky account in no way endorses a belief in the occult.
I like Call of Cthulhu a lot, less for Big Green himself and more for the idea of mass shared nightmares and the ensuing global pandemonium, but it is marred by also being one of his outwardly racist texts with his various focuses on ethnicity.

Yeah... pretty much these lol. Colour Out Of Space is his best written I think. Mountains of Madness has great moments but lengthy spans of dullness to me. Shadow Over Innsmouth is probably the most exciting.

Oh hell yeah. Chronicles has some bangers. This is one of my favorite songs in all of Ys.

Kull flipping the script and taking place when Atlantis is a new continent freshly risen from the seas is still one of the most evocative pieces of world building for me. It really helps sell REH's S&S fiction as taking place in an apocalyptic cycle of ages of rising and falling civilizations.

I want a new Pocket Fighter just to see Capcom pull this stuff off in 3D (and to get another game with Tessa and Hsien Ko together in it)

I assume there is no indication he was aware of it in his extensive letters but I thought it was an interesting happenstance, or just Barnum and Lovecraft tapping into similar veins of cultural absurdity.
