Railway foot bridge in winter.
A narrow railway foot bridge on a cold winters night. There is snow on the ground, and a row of skeletal trees, backlit by the night-glow of the city. It's known as 'the murder bridge' in certain circles, though no murder is known to have occurred there.

So. Many. Greeblies! Work on continues. Not content with re-arranging the hull, I'm now smothering it in greebling! Plenty more to do yet!

Started panelling & greebling the J-109 Atlas last night, with a 4 day weekend, hopefully I'll get a lot more done.

No real plan here, just sort of feeling my way through it.

I have Traveller to run on Monday, I should probably prep for that, too!

THe model ship on the green cutting mat, in profile. Notched panels have been laid on the forward and kower parts of the hull. The marked sections from the previous post have been cut out, so there's a hole right through. Various model kit parts and even some cable-ties have been applied to start making details - welcome to greeblesville! The ship, front on. Close up showing the styrene panels and kit part details.

Was gonna save this for when it's done, but what the heck - another one rumbles along the assembly line...

Kinda rough at first (cheap styrene & my shonky bladework), but sanding + first panels and greebles are pulling it together...
A cutting mat, a bottle of Tamiya cement, a brush, tweezers and the first few parts of a model cut from styrene sheet. The cutting mat again, with more styrene parts and the first two hull forms assembled, the third taking shape. A keyboard lurks in the background. The green cutting mat, all the styrene parts have been assembled into a cogent whole. Due to some rough bladework and using some cheap styrene that is far too thick, the parts didn't match up quite right (not helped by my pathalogical inability to follow instructions), so I improvised a lil box on top of the aft hull, to even out the shapes. the first few additional parts - a white metal radar dish, a round gubbin from a soap dispenser pump and a nacelle cut from an old pen barrel lie to the right. the keyboard continues to skulk in the background. The Atlas hull stands on it's tail on the cutting mat, the first few outer hull panels in thinner styrene have been applied to the front of the ship. Some vandal has drawn some lines on the hull - future panels? Greeble outlines? Maybe where the cargo dorors will be? The pen-nacelle from the previous picture is now mounted on the lower front hull, and houses the metal radar dish. Various plastic kit-greebles are heaped on the right, and lower left, some tiny 1/300 scale astronauts...
