Under the (fluffy, black and feline) paw. Very fond of beans on toast. Intermittent quiddler and dedicated hurkle-durkler. Views are my own, reposts aren't endorsements.
Absolutely. And the people who the prophets Amos and Jeremiah condemned most harshly were the hypocrites who were outwardly religious on the Sabbath and did terrible things every other day.

That's so grim! Real 'student rental' vibes. It actually reminds me of the bathroom in the flat I rented in Newington when a student.

The Pilrig Street crossing (at Leith Walk) is also very long, though not quite as bad as the London Road one. I believe that Councillor Jack Caldwell was investigating that one.

This sounds amazing! In the 1980s my Dad got the Beebug magazine which had programs to type in. The best game was Barrels. You climbed down ladders, collecting tea cups while avoiding barrels of tea that killed you. Then you made a cup of tea - the most British game ever! I'd love to see it again.

Thank you! I'm sure that as always, Pet Classics will keep her calm! So nice to have Charlotte Hawkins presenting tonight.

Oh dear, that sounds awful. Can your MP maybe apply some 'bully pulpit' power?

Can someone just get their hedge trimmer out - might be less effort than chasing the council? Obviously shouldn't have to.

It'd maybe be a bit different if the OP or her daughter had invited the friend then changed their mind (though even if that was the case, the friend wouldn't have lost any money). As it is, though, if I was the OP I'd have responded to the demand for money with the 😂 emoji!

I completely agree with you! It makes no sense at all. But then, neither do any of their arguments, so...

Good. It's far too big as it is. I'm also surprised that the wheel's position has been allowed as its right next to mature trees.

Thanks Jack. It would be great to see wardens actually dealing with this and drivers penalised. There always seem to be some wardens around Balfour Street - maybe they could take a trip up the Walk for some easy pickings...
