Thanks Matt!

I thought Tim Walz was exactly the right kind of pick to energize the base, until the party told him to shut up. This shutdown, and the walk back, are really just a reminder that no political party is for anything other than power. Individual actors may be moral, but the system exists for pain.

I didn't vote last year because my life was kind of falling apart in a bunch of ways that made voting challenging. But I was hoping for Biden until it was clear he couldn't, and Kamala after that.

I was 19 in 2016, and thought like a lot of left-leaning folks that it was Hillary's to lose. So I didn't vote that cycle. Come 2020, I was energized enough to vote Bernie in the primary, Biden in the general. Things were bad and needed to change.

Imagine if after a rigorous 2016 primary, Hillary tapped Bernie as VP. Pulling his base in instead of encouraging them to stay home. Does he even win a first term, let alone inflict everything he has since then?

Waiting forever for overpriced chicken after getting stood up in Orange County is not what I'm generally trying to do on a Sunday lol.

I cannot wait to go see them again in December!

I'm kinda looking forward to writing about hobby stuff for a change instead of just literary stuff (which I'm still doing, just mixing this in for at least a little while).
