(he/him) An accidental activist. I kept waiting and waiting for someone to do something. Oh no what if everyone's waiting for me?!?

Mostly climate, politics and geeky stuff. I learn by making mistakes and always seem to be learning something new.
So much smoke and mirrors. This is the global flagship CCS project. They promised 80%, its only getting 30%. ieefa.org/resources/go...
Gorgon CCS underperformance hits new low in 2023-24
In the last financial year, the Gorgon CCS project captured only 30% of the CO2 it removed from its reservoir, its weakest performance to date. As a result of technical challenges and underperformance...

Palestinians are one thing, alleged drug dealers another? You're right, no moral concerns involved.

I think the whole Youth Climate Corp is used as a smoke screen covering real policy rollbacks.

Indeed, Asia & Europe are both miles ahead in green tech. I particularly feel an affront with the political sleight of hand, ie

We’ll fund a fun splashy Youth Climate Corp but gut enviro policies in the back. No one can accuse us for roll back on environment if we use kids on the front cover.

He's the PM. He's not stuck, he's the one driving.

The future is renewables. Carney is doubling down on the past. He's being wreckless with the economy and our futures.

China's LNG imports are down 22% in 11 months while their energy consumption rises.

Not unlike all levels of govt failing youth on climate.

Politicians corrupted by fossil fuel interests?

Does Carney even have elbows? He seems to have abandoned the climate.

No we aren't. Just like getting rid of the carbon tax didn't bring down the cost of living, or intl students, or TFWs. It's all just excuses to undo the little we'd done on climate. The people who bought Sim don't want us to discover Paris is on to something with bikes. I might be a little cynical.

Someone has been bought by fossil fuel interests.

The same way PP almost got elected.

There is a coordinated pull back from climate commitments happening across Canada. Our leaders are failing us. They are destroying the future.

Chantel Hebert called it Harper-like. That's probably more accurate.

I worry about the standard of living if we don't act on climate. Food insecurity and societal collapse are not that far into the future and we continue to do the opposite of what needs to be done.
