The Commission expressed deep concern by evidence of State, institutional and corporate complicity through military, security, financial, technological, maritime, academic, cultural, sporting, religious and tourism channels.

The ACHPR invokes Article 20(3) of the African Charter, which states: “All peoples shall have the right to the assistance of the States Parties to the present Charter in their liberation struggle against foreign domination, whether it be political, economic or cultural.”

The resolution reaffirms the inalienable right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, condemns Israel’s genocide and recalls the binding nature of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) decisions regarding Israel’s serious violations of international law.

We call for pressure on the OIC to hold its member states accountable to the commitments made in resolutions which have called for imposing sanctions on Israel including military and trade embargo and suspending it from the UN General Assembly.

Recently, the governments of Indonesia and Pakistan have indicated willingness to bow to US diktats and provide troops for a Gaza “stabilization force”-- a force that will serve as a proxy Israeli occupation against Palestinians.

Kazakhstan, along with Azerbaijan, already supplies the vast majority (70%) of crude oil to apartheid Israel, directly fuelling the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

This is further evidence of apartheid Israel’s continued subjugation of Palestinians, both in the occupied territories and within present-day Israel, which is criminalized under international law and punishable according to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
