🙋 What’s the difference between an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)?

ABI: Injury that has occurred since birth
TBI: Injury to the brain by an external physical force
Non-Traumatic Brain Injury: Injury to the brain caused by a disease or lack of oxygen, such as a stroke

📢 Updates to disability assistance in B.C.

Starting Dec 2025, couples where both partners receive disability assistance will get the same support as two single people. In 2026, couples with one partner who has PWD status will get higher earnings exemptions.
