Yeah, all we know so far is that apparently they were supposed to be all sacrificed in some sort of ritual. Hopefully we can find out more next session!

He also loves belly scratches :3c (fun fact: His design is inspired by those really early dinosaur reconstructions from the 1850s!)

Funny you mention that, since just like back then he crit on an attack and enhanced it with a smite, just like back with the guard. I think he did a total of about 64 points of damage in that single round!

Absolutely, it was a big map, too, so getting around was super important since Ascuas doesn't have many ranged attacks!

Yeah, Ascuas knows that he has a lot of strength, so when he is close with others he always tries to be much more gentle!

Also we were supposed to knock out the cultist, so we could hand them over to the authorities, but Ascuas...might have gone a bit overboard. He took out SIX GUYS (luckily, most of them stabilised afterwards)

OH YEAH I think I haven't introduced him yet her, but since he's a paladin, Ascuas can summon a steed and that steed....is a big as lizard named Horfy. He looks mean, but is actually pretty chill (just be careful with your hand when you feed him).

Yes, that's the one! I just find it intriguing how outside events (climatic or otherwise) can cause entire food webs and ecosystems to collapse while other times seemingly just very specific groups are hit hard.

Do we have any idea why so many large bodied tetrapods groups disappeared around 90 million years ago? There was an anoxic extinction event that did the marine ones in, but does that point to a larger extinction event?
