Not necessarily referring to tankies, but people I've seen who seem to have a bit of an anti-U.S. bent and their first response to news of the CCP strengthening ties w/ countries like India b/c of the U.S. going further to hell is just "Woohoo, down w/ U.S. empire!".

Also a good reminder to other westerners that, just because U.S. empire is going down, doesn't mean there aren't other empires around the world that also suck (and also chomping at the bit to take the U.S.' place).

That description reads very much like an old-school card from the game's early years that I feel like it had to have been done before, but I'm struggling to think of one. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that one if the player's hand/deck is primed to feed it!

I was a little surprised that ILM did all the effects on Jessica on that backlit sparkly shot — I just assumed Williams's studio did all that in the coloring and effects animation phases, with airbrushing for the shadows and maybe some highlights on the gloves.

I haven't read or watched any BTS stuff on this film in a long time, so a bunch of these details are (or seem) new to me, thanks for sharing. I have the Cinefex issue that covers this film, I should reread it — maybe ILM's involvement was mentioned but they didn't visually break it down like this.

Hard to see this in motion, but I just noticed now that the left split is also warmer in color than the right side (you even see it affect Hoskins's hand a bit).
