Had an explore in the woods today and found the remains of C11th motte and Bailey castle. When I say found, I mean I finally found the path that took me there after walking past it for 21 yrs of walking in the woods. 🙈 Thrilled to bits.

Many parents made the point that holidays in the summer would be even more expensive if summer break was shorter and no one wanted more time in the winter when it’s cold dark and would cost a bomb to heat their homes.
Many pointed out we’ve one of the shortest summer breaks in Europe as it is.

Took my OH to see Dr. Strangelove for his birthday back in December.
He was so excited to be going, I was ambivalent. Wow wow wow, it was mesmerisingly good! Coogan must be shattered by the end of each performance, truly the best entertainment I’ve seen in years.

Still got snow and ice here (upstream in North Wales) when that melts… Mind you the R. Severn is always high in January. Attingham Park/ Atcham last January.
