Day one of my cafe staycation has been a MUCH needed break. I did have to force stop Teams because despite having ooo messages on everything people kept messaging me and I need to turn off my work brain.

I don't think his position is being misrepresented here- he's propping up a GOP talking point that there are "fairness issues" in letting trans women compete with cis women. It begs the question: what makes this a position "reasonable people" have?

A very cool friend got me a BUNCH of books for my birthday. This will be perfect for my cafe staycation where I just spend the day at a different cafe in Portland each day. My cat was pressed into service.

It's not sangria, but it's delicious: raspberry lemonade cider from 19 Acres (i know the glass says Bauman's) with envy apples, tango mandarin orange slices, and sliced strawberries. It's a lovely sweet and mildly tart cider with some really tasty fruit!

Every visit to the garden is different, and it's been a while since I've gotten to see the gorgeous flowers with the garden in bloom.
