Was doing a quick tech test for later this month. This tileset feels really really familiar to me for some reason. Not sure why. I mostly played the shareware episode when it came out, and this is much later in the game.

This came up tonight and I said I'd post about it. The fish I was thinking of are anchovies. They're called bokkeum myeolchi, they're dried anchovies. I liked them salty but there are some with a sweet coating and sometimes they're stir fried (like the second image) to be sweet and/or spicy .

Just randomly remembered this movie. It's not great but I do have some nostalgia for it and ahem there might have been a bit of mind control that really stuck with me.
Also horse tying rope knots with hooves which bothered me but MLP FiM does all sorts of weird hoofed animation cheats so whatever.

First, forgive the color, camera sucks. It's closer to Baja Blast color IRL.
Whipped cream is nice, filling nails the Baja Blast taste. It's not sour as much as pretending to be sour? The crust was passable but not nice, a proper graham cracker crust would've really elevated this pie.

I was getting several 2-5 second stutters, not even the usual microstuttering when playing Fortnite Festival this morning. It was... very unpleasant. I hope the solution is just to dump the cache/redo shaders because otherwise that level of stuttering is gonna really put me off playing for a while.

Last post for the night. Played Little Miss Can't Be Wrong (which is by Rock Band 4's standards a challenging bass song) and ow my hands, but then I played another 2 hours.
Also felt nice to know I haven't totally lost my touch. When I tried this in Rock Band I barely managed 4 stars. Demoralizing.

And at the very final fight... drank a couple buffing potions for the final phase (buffs in the bottom right corner), and then ... yep, game crashed. 😭
I did complete the fight on a second attempt, so yep, this game is ready for jackal show and tell in a couple months :)

My heart broke when this happened, but after a couple hours of tinkering, I eventually found a workaround that worked for me. Not a great one, but at least it let me proceed into the final levels...

That just leaves the ice level in this experiment, once I'm through this either the game will break, or it'll be playable to the end! I really don't remember this level, but I remember some pick order of operations around when to swap from a fire crossbow to an ice one.

The next zone, the "lethal lava land" of the game was worse than I remembered. A lot of jumping to flaming screaming death in lava because the controls suck.

The swamp wasn't as bad as I remembered, but it's tedious because Connor slowly slogs through water and the map is big. Took a detour back to Daventry to turn in a couple quests.
Not looking forward to the next area... a lot of annoying climbing up and down with the grappling hook animations.
