Systems say that just after midnight the power was restored. As it was just the 3 blocks of flats that they are renovating, something probably was damaged during the day and burned out later in the evening when power consumption went up. Oh well, seems there is no damage and freezer is still frozen.

And then, the power went out. Likely to be without for hours… no hot dinner then I guess and an early night. Need to be careful with the phone battery so signing out.

I’ve been meaning to lay laminate or PVC flooring in the hallway and kitchen, I wonder if I should go ahead and do that, although that won’t get the robot over the sills, it does bring the level down. Maybe there’s something at the DIY store that I can put over them so it can ride over.

So. Robot is doing its thing. Tried to map all rooms, but I’m not sure if it works as I want it. When mapping, it needed to return to the base, but being in another room, it couldn’t and it got stuck every time. —>>

Right. It’s here. It’s plugged in and installed. It’s charging. Now though, as it turns out, I need to clear every bit of floor space that ever might need to be cleaned, to let it map the house. It can save multiple maps, I might do a basic now and a full later.

In my latest candy order, I also included a box of 500 grams of “assorted failed liquorice”. It’s misshaped liquorice pieces that get rejected but are still okay to eat. I find it surprisingly delightful that I have no idea what I’m sticking into my mouth, with each piece I eat. 🤣

Was up and having my first coffee by 7:30, on my day off, just in case the unconfirmed window guy would show up at 8 anyway. Of course he didn’t. Which means I now need to stay at home all day just in case he does come, but at a later time. Ugh.
Cat is happy though. 😻

Have a day off tomorrow as the trailer is at the garage for it’s MOT. There is supposed to be coming someone to do some work for the renovations, but they would call me to confirm and give a time slot, which did not happen. Now I have to get up early and wait and see… 🙄

The Dutch could do a similar thing with so many solar panels on roofs, but the money hungry power companies instead make people pay to feed power into the grid. Soon all electricity produced by privately owned panels, will be given to the power companies and the producers have to pay them. Bonkers.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Getting new shoes with all 12 tires on the trailer being replaced, in preparation of it’s MOT next week. They have a rough life with the type of work I do, glad I don’t have to pay for any of that. 😁
