Went to see this huge, enormous, gigantic place, but I'm not sure if there's a better word to call it?

Decades after nuclear war, magic returns.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "The pacing was spot-on, and the last chapters—Wow!"

When a hacker uses an illegal AI construct for revenge, just how far will he go?

Read the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #scifi short story described as:

"...bloody brilliant..."

"The plot was tight and immersive, and it absolutely stuck the ending."

"...vivid and enjoyable."

We had this photo of a well-known actor randomly in our Italian hotel.

My wife just now said: "It's that actor - Alpacca Cino!"

When Italian train entrances are several feet up, how do #wheelchair users get on and off?

With this totally inconspicuous device, and two members of staff fromSala Blu.

(Wasn't sure about posting this, as I look, well, ridiculous, but thought people might find it interesting.)

Went to Naples as part of our trip and saw the mighty Vesuvius across the bay.

Hmmmmmm.....

I wonder if anyone has thought this through?

*Spoiler alert* No, they hadn't.

Maybe make #wheelchair accessible toilets not require jetpacks to reach them?

Don't know who needs to know this (aside from the McDonalds in Rome where I took this photo) but if your public toilet is up a flight of stairs with no elevator, it's not a disabled-access toilet.

Ooh, pretty!

Anyone wanna guess where I am today?

Had a fun evening watching a classic.

We're busy on Hallowe'en so celebrated last night. My wife and daughter made some spooky food, including this ghostly chocolate mousse.

We've been dusting off a #boardgame my teenage boy made a few years ago, based on the YouTube group Jet Lag.

Essentially, you need to claim states (chosen at random) by spending money to travel, then rolling a die to gain more money. There's also power ups to help you (or hinder others).

I love this photo I took in Norway. The massive cruise liner being dwarfed by the mountains of the fjord, brooding sky reflected imperfectly in the water, is just *chef's kiss*

Thanks!

I've got a novel (The Magic Circle) and a couple of short stories set in the same universe.

Decades after nuclear war, magic returns. As artists and spies alike discover how to use this power, some will stop at nothing to have it all for themselves.

May you find as much peace and rest as this little bundle of fluff.

Just because AWS is down doesn't mean you can't, say, buy one of my books from my website.

Just saying. 😁

I know Guy Fawkes is a uniquely British celebration, but you know what's based on it but weirder?

5 minutes drive from me is the village of Ottery St Mary, where on Nov 5th each year they have a competition to see who can run the furthest with a flaming barrel on their back.

Ordered some cat food, due to be delivered by DPD.

Got a message that there was an issue and they'd update me.

2 days later, no update. I tried their chatbot which was useless and refused to let me chat with a human.

Found a phone number and spoke to someone to find out they'd lost the parcel.

Honestly, it's one of the reasons I wrote The Magic Circle, with a secret agent who can fight hand to hand or with a sniper rifle or coil gun, and *also* use magical powers to disguise himself or throw dirt in his opponent's eyes.

Yevgeny is a spy with a difference.

Yes, there's gadgets and guns. But he also has magical powers that help him recruit others with similar gifts.

But what happens when he falls in love with his mark?

I love computer games, and this was the console that started it off for me: The G7000.

If it looks ancient, that's because it was (and so am I!).

What started it off for you?
