Home made Select spritz, NO OLIVE!
We had an onion squash & cavolo nero left over so roasted the squash with sage & made a lasagne with a LOT of taleggio & mozzerella. And enough for tomorrow!

Thought I'd give the Pret sando a go. Now, I like chrispy onions as much as anyone but not when it takes up 50% of the sandwich, & the filling didn't go to the edges if the bread. C'mon lads, sharpen up!

We use tinned toms because we cannot get really good ones over here, & a jar of good chickpeas rather than cook them from scratch.

Gypsy stew from the much missed Keith Floyd. A fab combo of onion squash, chickpeas, green beans, cavolo nero & pears with home-made French bread. A real winter warmer.

Fimally got around to going into San Zacc after 8 visits to Venice. Restoration still ongoing, but worth a visit to the flooded crypt.

Followed @davidhewson.com recomendation to try Castradina at Trattoria al Ponte del Magio & flippin' glad we did! Lovely place with very friendly people & the Castradina was wonderful.
