He’s 190cm and 78kg! It’s like saying Mads should just lose weight to out climb Jonas. Wout’s talent means he can climb far better than his body shape should allow - but not over three weeks against the skinny GC guys
September 18, 2025 at 1:51 PM
More like a physics issue. Wout weighs about 20kg more than Pidcock.

Tour hangover? Almeida super strong though.

Saving his GC

👏👏

😂 3rd tier at all the Monuments? He only lost because MSR or PR really don’t suit him and MVDP is also superhuman.
June 11, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Because we all watched him also being epic at MSR, PR, Flèche, LBL. He’s still building back for the Tour but not easy even for Pog
June 11, 2025 at 9:11 PM
The most over qualified lead out man in history. But both their teams need them to do grand tours. Pidcock didn’t know he was doing the Giro till two weeks before it started and he looks knackered from the classics

Depressing isn’t it. Kids sports, youth clubs, free breakfast etc in poor areas always the first to be cut. Of course kids don’t vote…
May 9, 2025 at 1:04 PM
Stage hunting. You can’t do full Ardennes schedule and also go for Giro GC.
May 7, 2025 at 6:06 PM
So harsh on Wout. Surrounded by GOATs (Pog and VDP) and still coming back from two nightmare crashes last year. He’s also improving with every race…
April 25, 2025 at 2:49 PM
Just no legs left. It’s a hard race so reckon he’ll be better at Amstel for it. Maybe 😬
April 18, 2025 at 3:36 PM
He did sprint (ended up 11th) but obviously a bad day
April 18, 2025 at 3:28 PM
True. He’ll probably make me eat my words at Brabantse Pijl.
March 10, 2025 at 3:31 PM
True. They are both shit on cobbles or gravel stages 😉
March 10, 2025 at 3:12 PM
Exactly. He had to gamble on working with Pog as it was 80km to go. His only hope was Pog feeling the pressure on the descents but to do that he needed to be pulling with him. Pog would have dropped him instantly if he sat on.
March 9, 2025 at 6:59 PM
He’s just using these races as prep. After last year, you can’t blame him for taking no risks in the warm up races. He just wants to get to the start of RVV fit and in one piece.
March 2, 2025 at 8:19 PM
He’s also probably got one eye on the Giro. His team invite is prob dependent on him doing it so that would be a hell of Spring schedule
February 15, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Fair point and reckon he’s using Omloop to test himself so may do more depending on how that goes. Problem is cobbles are first. MVP was a shadow of himself at Amstel and LBL last year. Pog is a genius so can’t compare him to anyone!
February 15, 2025 at 4:45 PM
He is doing a lot of classics but his focus is Ardennes rather than cobbles. Very difficult to stay top form for both.
February 14, 2025 at 8:43 PM
I think he was forced to by doing so much CX and MTB. Ineos wanted big results on the road to justify his salary so he had to go for it. But trying to be top level at all three is impossible
January 31, 2025 at 5:19 PM
It’s January, in a new team and he wins the first summit finish. “Just not good enough” 🙄
January 30, 2025 at 10:12 PM
The timing is so cynical with Omloop opening weekend on 1st March
January 30, 2025 at 7:58 PM
All good as long as I ignore almost everything in the news. Had to delete Twitter for my sanity
