Just a legal historian here reminding everyone that “high crimes and misdemeanors” do not need to be felonies.

They can include political abuses and stupidity, like, hypothetically, destroying the economy and wiping out people’s savings in 3 days.

First Hegseth uses chat app for war planning. Then he LIES.

Imagine this guy is running our freaking Dept of Defense. Wowzers

I saw the work by Olga Lautman and he findings were disturbing: Steven Witkoff was in Russia when he was added to the signal chat. Russia has infiltrated Signal and used against Ukrainians. Very possible they have the classified signal info:

Sound alike ARKANSAS and the Arkansas residents are the problem 😬😬😬 Kash Patel talking about meth and Cottonwood goes off about fentanyl precursors lol

Whoopsies. Maybe Give Arkansas and Tom Cotton away.

To be clear Tulsi Gabbard is an absolute joke. She’s America’s Cruella De Vil and GROSSLY UNQUALIFIED. GenX came into the US government and made the entire generation look stupid. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

What is Tom Cotton in his diatribe lectured America on espionage 🤣🤣🤣 the Sec of Defense is out here texting war plans. How does he keep a straight face. #fire Pete Hegseth

I’m genuinely concerned for @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social safety. If they know he has sceeenshot proof of the war plans…. He needs to flee the US 😞😕
It also misses the point. No one said it impacted Yemen strikes (fortunately, because Goldberg's personal awareness did not imperil them).

It's that the practice impacts EVERYTHING ELSE.
Would a headline ever, EVER have called this a “mishap” if it had been done under Biden or Obama? No, absolutely not.

And, for bonus, a Susan Collins-esque “learned a lesson” quote from the president, treating his national security advisor like a chastened 7-year-old.

Espionage act against Hegseth, and every head on that text string👌👌
Hypocrisy at its finest.
CNN put together a great collection of clips of various Trump officials who were on the signal chat criticizing Hillary Clinton’s email server. It's just jaw-dropping and pathetic hypocrisy.
