VAR decided it was reckless but not dangerous.
So yellow totally correct.

You, mate, can get fucked.
Americans man….
December 6, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Sorry, but you’re talking absolute rubbish.
US cars are not the “majority” in Middle East states at all.
These things can be fact checked on Google you know.

I gave up on that when ‘chappers’ took over.

Chances are your other costs are inflated, like property.
Where I live may be backward in terms of public transport, but I’m not £1200 a month for a cupboard.
Swings and roundabouts.
December 6, 2025 at 5:49 PM
List these ‘lots of countries’ that buy US vehicles.
They’re not at all popular in Europe.
December 6, 2025 at 5:47 PM
I’m old skool, I’m very firmly in the ‘clobber that c….’ club
Take the yellow.
Let him know you’re there.
Shut him down.

It’s why I don’t coach the scouts any more

I cheered it.
Yes, silly.
Yes, free kick.
*At the same time*, he thought “you’re pissing me off, have that”
And I’m here for it.

NE Scotland and a lack of heat pump isn’t necessarily an issue, very car dependent.
Our Cupra born loses very few miles between heating on/off.
Our Honda ENY1 is a different story, it loses loads - but it’s a very poor EV in every sense anyway.
December 6, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Bikes, do me a favour, they’re no use on a night out 🤭
The other modes all rely on you getting to them as well, bus stops can still be a long way away.
Give me a pod I can summon to me in minutes any day.
December 6, 2025 at 11:04 AM
It’s pretty obvious these are trigger happy fuckwits.
You make a move towards them, all their fantasies about legally shooting another human will come true.
Nothing would happen to them, nothing.
Blame your own constitution where ‘self defence’ would let them off the hook.

Chademo is still pretty widespread in the UK.
You can get chademo to CCS adapters now too.
They’re not cheap, but means you can keep the car.
December 6, 2025 at 10:11 AM
EVs certainly help.
I was beginning to despise driving, but EVs made it fun again (since 2016)
I’d still rather live somewhere where I didn’t need one at all though.
I genuinely hope the future is ‘roaming pods’ that can be summoned to even rural homes in no time at all.
December 6, 2025 at 10:04 AM
Agreed, even as someone who likes cars I’d prefer a world where I didn’t need one.
Londoners make me laugh moaning about the absurdly good public transport they have, it’s like a different planet to visitors.
Try not having any buses at weekends and your 4 mile commute only being practical in a car.
December 6, 2025 at 9:58 AM
I’ve no clue, some SUV thing.
Not a Colt Seevers truck.
You have to understand the US has manufacturers that don’t even register in Europe, like Buick and Chevrolet etc
So even car enthusiasts here don’t learn about them/recognise them.
December 6, 2025 at 9:54 AM
I just checked and, as I thought, they stopped making the tiny ‘for two’ some time ago.
It may be coming be in 2026 in an EV version though.
December 6, 2025 at 9:51 AM
If they still make the tiny Smart cars, they’re not importing them into Britain.
Smart is an all EV range in the UK starting with the #1, which is a good side (roughly the same as a mini countryman)
December 6, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Mercedes don’t make any tiny cars?
The smallest car they make is the A-series, which is Ford Focus size.
Their spin off brand ‘smart’ used to make tiny cars, but don’t any more (and they didn’t have Mercedes badges, so not many people knew they were linked)
I’m confused as to what you saw?
December 6, 2025 at 8:56 AM
That’s a weird way of buying.
If there’s a Ford or GM dealership, they can fix any Ford or GM car.
So buy one elsewhere.
It’s 2025, you can literally buy any car and have it delivered to you.
You’re not forced to only buy what the local place has.
December 6, 2025 at 8:44 AM
Selling to Americans, it’s a huge market.
He’s 100% right they don’t sell anywhere else.
US cars don’t even register to Europeans.
Too big, backward tech etc
You guys can take a 4-litre V8 and have it make less power than a European 2-litre 4 cylinder.
Your cars are just weird.
December 6, 2025 at 8:42 AM
Your whole culture is against small cars.
They’re joked about, toxic masculinity etc
Hollywood pokes fun at them too, movies showing actors overly-dramatically squeezing themselves into cars Europeans manage perfectly well with.
