DQ11 is SO GOOD! Its kind of the “default” or “defacto” modern JRPG in my mind. I guess thats the whole series really, but 11 in particular feels like if you extracted the core of the genre.

Whats nice is most of the sidequests in 2 and especially 3 are a lot better than those in 1, so youll be actually invested and do them as you go. I did every quest as they appeared in 3, and it never got too tedious iirc, it has been like 3 years.

On to Celceta now. I tried my hardest to beat seven by the time I move (tomorrow), so whenever I’m settled into the new place Ill get onto it.

I really enjoyed SEVEN, but it felt so incredibly different to the rest of the series. Combat wasnt nearly as tight, and a lot of hitboxes were weird. Super bizarre that they have a whole combat tutorial that doesnt mention blocking once
