Starting to cohere, there's already a lot to like here. The Cohen/Bethan thing could easily have been icky, but Pratchett manages to keep it rather sweet, really. The German edition from 1995 collects The Light Fantastic and Equal Rites. 💙📚👀

Starting to cohere, there's already a lot to like here. The Cohen/Bethan thing could easily have been icky, but Pratchett manages to keep it rather sweet, really. The German edition from 1995 collects The Light Fantastic and Equal Rites. 💙📚👀

Angefangen mit The Colour of Magic, erstmals im Original. Proto-Discworld, sehr viel direkte Parodie (Leiber, Howard, Lovecraft, Vance), wenig Struktur. Meine alte deutsche Ausgabe von 1995 hat leider keine Suppenwerbung mehr. 📚💙

Die Zeit ist reif für einen Discworld Reread.
Angefangen mit The Colour of Magic, erstmals im Original. Proto-Discworld, sehr viel direkte Parodie (Leiber, Howard, Lovecraft, Vance), wenig Struktur. Meine alte deutsche Ausgabe von 1995 hat leider keine Suppenwerbung mehr. 📚💙

For Pratchett, there's a few ways to go about it. Just don't do publication order, The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic are rather different from the later books. Small Gods is a nice standalone to check out if you like the style.
For Gaiman, I still maintain that he peaked with Sandman.
