At 12:15 a.m., the Senate passed the Social Security Fairness Act (76-20), ending decades of reduced benefits for nearly 3M people, including teachers, firefighters, postal workers, and police officers, by repealing WEP and GPO policies. The bill now heads to President Biden’s desk.
