Became obsessed with politics during the Brexit disaster - despise corrupt Tory politicians - have hope for better from Starmer etc.
Recently retired - which overall I don't recommend!
Tango dancer - another obsession, but just a tad more enjoyable!

Yep, he wants nothing but deregulating crypto to help his crypto business and scrapping net zero to help his aviation fuel business. Which by pure coincidence are two of our policies.

I wonder did anyone count how many minutes Zia Yusuf got to speak in tonight's QT, compared to any of the other panellists? And how many times did Fiona Bruce interrupt him, as opposed to the times she interrupted the others? And how she never prevented him from interrupting the others?

Look how visibly excited Robert Jenrick is by his brilliance as a statesman; how high on his own supply.

It is astonishing that this bitter, angry, talentless bingo-caller is considered a serious prospect in a major party. If he or Badenoch are the best they can do, what does it say about the rest?

Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) says Pete Hegseth should "resign immediately" if it's true he gave a directive to “kill everybody” in a strike on boats in the Caribbean, including a second strike to kill survivors of the first strike.

“If the reports are true, Pete Hegseth likely committed a war crime."

On Monday, my colleague @hunterw.bsky.social asked both Mamdani and Sanders what they thought of Trump’s attempt to take the mantle of “affordability.”

“I will shock all of you in suggesting that the president of the United States is a pathological liar. He lies all of the time,” Sanders said.

Trump just gave a commutation to David Gentile, a private equity executive who defrauded investors of $1.6B.

Meanwhile, Trump's regime has also scrapped enforcement actions against over 160 corporations accused of misconduct.

A new Golden Age for corporate criminals.

These people are supposed to have *higher* than average intelligence?!!
It would be very in keeping with how UK elites are chronically 6-18 months behind the curve if UK university leaders torch their credibility in trying to appease Reform and MAGA only for further shifts in political trends to start seeing a decline in support for Trump and Farage
This is the most alarming story I’ve read today. Giving up the fight before it’s started

Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.
