I think it would be absolutely fantastic if it played Hungarian dance number five - now that would get me excited to hang up the washing

I’m not too sure about this. There is such a thing as institutional memory. People in any industry for a long time tend to know how to get things done within the confines of the system they’re in. I think I’d rather a professional politician than whatever is happening in the US right now.

I am mostly in favour of the 'control the present (narrative) to control the past to control the future' explanation

I am too lazy to double check but I think Qld recently closed its private prisons? I could be wrong. Lemme go double check… yes I thought so: www.themandarin.com.au/162239-all-q...
All Queensland prisons now run by state government
The Southern Queensland Correctional Centre and Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre are no longer privately operated, having transitioned to state administration.

Unless you’re Yanis Varoufakis, in which case we are scooching right back into it 🚀

Imagine the business card

I think it’s not a bad interview and Inman Smith is smart enough - she’s on the money with dark patterns and addictive design - it’s just that she is in the unfortunate position of having to back the govt’s unbackable idea of “privacy-preserving age verification”

Did you ever expect a corporation to have a conscience, when it has no soul to be damned, and no body to be kicked?
