I wrote Alice in the Land of Clovers and then stared at my ceiling for a year. #authorsky #booksky
Once my Roomba worked really hard so I gave her a sticker that says I hate mondays.

I can't stomach the thought of my baby boy going back to the shelter. He's already twelve and has arthritis, and he's small and cute so people naturally want to grab him without knowing. It would be a death sentence for him.

Books and reading is trending and I'm afraid of the reasons why but

My name's B. A. Lovejoy, I'm fighting a year long battle with writer's block, and I write historical romantasy/folklore heavy romantasy about the fae and wonderland and all sorts of things.

Legally I'm required to shill for this.

Kicking my feet with excitement because my library has Rose Prendeville on Hoopla and I have been dying to read her for months now.

Look at her covers! I'm so excited to get more into Scottish historical romances.

It's #wipwednesday and I have to post pictures of my dark academia witch romance otherwise the kids will think I'm either dead or not writing anything.

Without saying your age, who was your first animated crush?

I'm writing my own wizard books but everyone's an adult, I don't hate trans people, there's kissing, and if you see a photo of me by the seaside holding a cigar you can safely assume I've been abducted.

I'm currently listening to Violet Made of Thorns, which is a ya romantasy that gives major galavant vibes.

She's a seer forced to lie about having a vision where the kingdom's cursed prince meets his true love and lifts his curse, he's the kingdom's bratty prince who doesn't care.

I was very selective in my snipping because I like the top paragraph 😌

We're going to go through the great depression yet again and they're not even going to use popping fabrics for the flour sacks.

I missed WIP wednesday, which means I missed another opportunity to talk someone's ear off about my adult light Academia romance about a magic, time traveling professor and his assistant (who has been unwittingly dragged into a mess by a man who claims not to know her... but so clearly does.)

I was told I have to start shilling my books again, so:

This is Alice in the Land of Clovers, it's an adult historical romantasy that thrusts an adult Alice into mystery and courtly mishaps in wonderland, a world that she was previously led to believe only existed in stories told by her father.

When I was twenty four a friend who was twenty two and fresh off her graduate degree contacted COVID. She was actively contagious for ten days, but still lived with the chronic pain and exhaustion that comes with long COVID for years.
Please don't let this happen.

My heart is beyond broken.

I never wanted to be used to train AI. I never consented to Meta or anyone using my work as their dataset.

4 books equals hundreds of hours of my life. I am a very small fish in a very big pond but I love what I do.

I cannot help but cry.

Thank you to @theatlantic.com

My favorite part is the pictures. And this is before he finds the Easter eggs, because Tesla, a real car company, has Easter eggs that people have had the fun experience of going through while driving down the road.

Rough idea for how the other weapons will look. I plot a lot of sewing projects (and writing projects) in my dot grid binder.

Update on the clue cross stitch I'm making.
The border is game pieces x6 and then the weapons in a 5x5 format. Here's the wrench and the candlestick.

And that's saying a lot because one note is naturally terrible on the go to begin with. Each of these tabs opens to a floating hellscape that I scroll around through with tears in my eyes.

Was going to post previews of my time traveling academia witch romance featuring a professor x assistant dynamic before it went for another round at the editor's and then Microsoft word reminded me why I'm unsubscribing.

You may ask what I'm reading right now and it's The Empress by Kristin Cast, which I picked up solely because I read tarot cards as a party trick and said "that's a tarot cover."

Conceptually I'd say it's like a contemporary adult Narnia with slight sex in the city vibes 🤷‍♀️

Libby. (Thanks, MELSA!)

Minnesota had Jesse Ventura for a Governor and when you ignore the deficit, not much burnt down and we got these sick bumper stickers.

So, you know. It could work.
