I have applied for student finance in NL and the UK. NL with digital ID took 15 mins and I had an answer in 30 mins. Uk took 3 hours to apply and I will know the result in 4-8 weeks. All because of digital ID. Same applies for benefits etc.

I met loads of Israeli conscripts decompressing in SE Asia in the early 2000’s and to the last one they were all damaged and brainwashed. The rest of us backpackers avoided them like the plague. It was very stark and probably gave me a very warped opinion of Isreal.
