Main foyer can only be accessed through the garage. There are no other doors leading to the outside; is this a prison? The mudroom and laundry with two bathtubs is almost as large as the garage. Gourmet kitchen is empty, but great room has two sinks. Love the coat bath and the master roksn. lololol
Oh shit waddup

i named my fists Rodgers and Hammerstein cuz theyre always in my own little corner

Me, for (at least) the next *5* months...every winter I rethink my decision to move back to MN from the Mid-Atlantic. Overall worth it but this part sucks.

I would be curious to see what kind of FB groups or Signal chats exist between municipal police officers and ICE, DHS, etc. How are they sharing information?
From the MN Society for Professional Journalists: St. Paul police shot three photojournalists (MPR, Reuters, Sahan Journal) with "less lethal" munitions during an ICE operation yesterday. One had to go to the hospital. They say they were specifically targeted by St. Paul police.

When my little brother was 3, he was terrified of the school photographer and started crying. We coaxed him into allowing one picture and it looked kinda like this.

I started as a computer science major but found coding boring, then I discovered the fascinating world of anthropology. Not a lot of jobs in that field, so I kept my toes dipped in the tech world and now am an investigator/analyst, where data science & anthropology/sociology converge.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Archaeologist here. For 99.5% of human history (ca 300-400,000 years), we were peaceful (no war). There was conflict and smaller scale violence, but countless studies on the 119 known modern hunter gatherer groups show cooperation, negotiation, and peace instead of conflict. Please read books.
Revenge/physical combat was how people settled things for literally millions of years, it's normal human behavior, we're wolves not sheep, the government project trying to social engineer us and domesticate us into sheep has been unsuccessful

Content you can actually use:
Costco box power rankings:

1. Avocado: Almost as tough as banana boxes, but not as overwhelmingly constructed, better color, if you ask me for a box and I load up this one, we are friends.
2. Apple: Large, good handles, easily broken down
3. Banana: bomb proof, Hard/impossible to break down.

This is exactly what I think.
I think that these 8 Senators are falling on the sword for Schumer and other Senators who wanted the shutdown to end. This allows the majority of Senators to save face; and only retiring or not up for reelection Senators take the heat.

It’s a ruse.

The contrast could hardly be sharper. My friends and neighbors, armed only with whistles and voices, spend their weekend fighting off heavily-armed paramilitary goons. Meanwhile, these jagoffs capitulate, but not before securing another $1 billion for their own security.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

As Paul Hollywood would say, it’s a little “rough & ready.” Framboisier from the most recent episode of GBBO. Genoise sponge, pistachio crème mousseline, fresh raspberries. I didn’t attempt the sugar dome because I didn’t have the equipment & I piped roses because fondant tastes like 💩.

THIS. My mom, whose grandparents came here in late 1800s/early 1900s from Ukraine (their parents also being immigrants, from Germany), was complaining about welfare and immigrants a few years ago. She said her grandparents never got any handouts. I was like, um, EXCEPT FOR THE FREE 320 ACRES!!
I've seen so many people online using the government shutdown as an opportunity to demonize people who receive SNAP benefits, WIC and any kind of government assistance.

Here's the thing:

I agree with those people.

We need to end the WHITE welfare state

BECAUSE welfare works.

Yes, Lord of the Rings is about how you must trust the “hard men.” Just as Narnia is about an evil lion. And the New Testament tells a tale of a wimp who wouldn’t fight back. Next week on “fascists read classics,” we’ll meet tech visionary George Orwell…

If anything, the men who “lost their way” politically in the last couple of years should be begging us to take them back. They jumped off a fascist cliff and suddenly realized they don’t like the feeling of falling.

But MEEP MEEP.

I called @amyklobuchar.com’s office and expressed my dismay. The staffer I talked to seemed bored and disengaged. Looking forward to voting for someone else in the next primary. Let the Republicans pass these by themselves, there is absolutely no reason to vote for any of these terrible nominees.
