Happy Casimir Pulaski Day!

Today, we honor the brave Revolutionary War hero who fought for our nation and became known as the Father of the American Cavalry.

Let’s come together to celebrate his legacy and the legacy of our Polish community in Illinois.
What is Pulaski Day? Here's what's closed and the history of this Chicago holiday
Pulaski Day will be observed on Monday, March 3. Chicago and Cook County government offices and courts will be closed. Chicago Public Schools, local banks and post offices will be open.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

If you're looking for a place to do some work, the public library is like a coffeeshop where you don't need to buy anything and there's a lot more space and you can stay as long as you like and you don't get any coffee.

Roe v. Wade represented a historic step for reproductive freedom.

On what would have been the 52nd anniversary, it reminds us that our progress cannot be taken for granted.

The fight continues — and here in Illinois, we remain ready to help those who need access to care.

Today marks 52 years since Roe v. Wade guaranteed access to abortion – a right that no longer exists

This reality is particularly alarming for women on probation or parole. Now, most of these 800,000 women must ask an officer *permission* to travel for abortion care

6. Small, but end to federal funds to "promoting gender ideology." This was reported earlier as a denial of funds to orgs that acknowledge trans people.

It could also be used as justification to target schools heavily and deny funding to any affirming ones.

Broad though, questionably enforceable.
