What really makes Jay-Z great is that he could rap about hustling and still be an MC at the same time. A lot of rappers couldn't do that. Either they would lean on the drug dealing and their bars were garbage. Or they had bars and would battle rap you to death but couldn't tell a story. He's a GOAT

Big Pun really was like a Latino Biggie. He was able to make the club hits, he had the dope street album cuts. He was just a lyrical monster. We can only imagine what he would've been like now if he was still alive.

Phonte Coleman is just a calm assassin on the mic. He has this thing he does where he rhymes his words in unexpected places. Like he'll start a rhyme in one line and it won't be until like the end of his second line that he'll come back around to it.

On any given day if you ask me who my favorite MC is, I'll probably say Black Thought. One thing that impressed me about Thought is whenever I first realized that he was nice with coming off the dome. That's kinda of a bonus when it comes to somebody who you already know is a great writer.
