I can't say any player has played particularly badly or well. But one thing that has happened is that all have played slowly and without ideas. That is plain and simply a coaching issue. Nothing else. They're not well-prepared here. There's no other excuse to be made.

This is such a badly coached team. This hasn't been a bad performance from individuals. This is just a team that isn't prepared for a difficult game at this level. I've said this for months now. This is basics: staying in positions, putting in effort, having confidence. It's crazy.

The worst thing about this is the losses aren't small. They're big, damaging ones. Even if our form picked up, I can see a scenario where, as soon as we get a negative result, the trauma of this hideous period just rattles them. It feels like it might need something completely new.

Been a while since I watched the lads. They appear to have gotten worse. I don't think there's a way out for Slot, you know. And I feel bad for him. But, as I said several weeks back, this is a badly coached team. Really bad. And I can't see that changing. At least not quickly.

I genuinely don't know how you get the best out of Wirtz. It's annoying because he has real quality. But, the more I watch, the less I'm convinced that it will ever click for us. I just can't see the big shift that helps him improve. Hope I'm wrong. Because it'd be a real shame.

It is. I know it's anathema to say it. But there's a very clear lack of management of this group of players. And this group have shown, week in and out, that without clear, simple structure, they will not recover. So, the sooner the management improves, the better.

This is definitely bad coaching. The players don't even have an opportunity to have individual bad because they are collectively in a tumble dryer of confusion. Not a single player knows what they're doing. And they're all silently screaming for help.

In just the past 5 minutes, we've seen three different players defend a corner with an opportunity to clear and push up, lose the ball trying to dribble out. That's fundamentals. Page 1 of footy at any level. For whatever reason, these players do not know that anymore. That's coaching.

I agree. But I think that, even in yesterday's game, with all that wasn't going for us, we could've quite easily got a draw if we improved even one of the things we were bad at by about 5%. But that didn't happen for 90 mins - that was the most infuriating thing.

It's disappointing that we barely created in the second half. But on the whole, that was a game that we'd have walked away with a draw, easily, despite the self-inflicted sloppy moments and horrible officiating.

To be clear, I'm referring to the first half vs Palace and yesterday. I don't agree with the general narrative that we've been totally bad. We've been bad and good in spats. But, in the past 2 games, when we've been bad, we've been atrocious. I don't think that's inaccurate.

They haven’t been “atrocious”, though. Until the 1st half & Palace & last night, they were erratic. Even within games, we were inconsistent. Some individuals are struggling with form, some fitness, & some are adapting, but that’s where we are atm.

But, ultimately, it worked for Gala. They were NEVER going to "play fair". It's not fair when you compare their players to ours. They have to use other factors. One being home crow pressure. Another being playing the ref. Whether we like it or not, it's a thing - especially in the UCL

You're right. And it's one of the biggest flaws in our game. And we saw it BIG TIME tonight. I'm all for "Best team wins based on skill". But it's not the reality. Don't complain if a team plays a weak ref because that same weak ref is there for you to play, too.
