Hi, I'm Caroline, and I used to work for Charlie Kirk and TPUSA. Over the past several years, I've grappled with how to reconcile my past political involvement with the state of politics now, but with the direction of U.S. politics, I truly cannot stay silent.
I Thought I Belonged. Then I Realized What I Was Part Of.
Why I left the conservative movement--and why you can too.

A Turning Point USA early adopter sees the light and leaves. Now an attorney in Texas she writes: “I was in deep” into TPUSA, “an organization within which I initially found so much belonging and joy. However, the deeper I got, the more meanness I found. A nastiness that I didn’t understand….”

So we can all agree that Trump intends for Medicare and Medicaid to collapse so that he can either offer government loans with insane strings attached to hospitals or overhaul the healthcare system altogether in some kind of crazy MAHA way, right?

The votes are slowing down.
They don’t have a bill.
Still issues with Parl.
Still disagreeing in caucus.
Still fighting with House.
Still no final language.

My biggest concern with Trump’s massive consolidation of executive power is that they wouldn’t be doing *gestures around at literally everything* all this if they genuinely believed a democrat (or even a moderate republican) would be in the White House in the foreseeable future.

Never bet against the Republicans' willingness to sell out after spending weeks feigning concern. It's all an act. They're all self-serving cowards who will put party over country every single time.

Shame on @fetterman.senate.gov for this utterly reckless and delusional response to senseless war. It is imperative that Democratic leadership implore Fetterman to step aside before more damage is done to Pennsylvania and the nation.
