Starting over wasn't so bad. I hadn't got very far, I now knew how the game mechanics worked, and I got to say hello to the Power of Science Guy AND give Mable the correct answer.

Okay. So this is the first Pokémon game since the original Blue where I got a little ways in, then quit and started over. And it's entirely because this is the worst thing to happen to us Bulbasaur faithful since Sabrina's gym.

I'm begging fantastic fiction writers to have a better sense of Deep Time because of stuff like this. "3,000 years old" means that if they lived in our world, Black Floette and AZ could've thanked the Phoenicians for the alphabet in person. 🤯
