My thoughts exactly ... when I was a guide, it was a photo in the net in the water or not at all.

Fly fishing is a series of stages: gear, new gear, more gear replacement gear ... and then you hit the "exactly what do I need for this stream". I'm down to a very small fly box, a couple of extra leaders, a roll of tippet. If it doesn't fit into a shirt pocket, it doesn't get to go play.
