It’s about being faithful to the encounter, it’s about being transformed in the presence of the One who knows you entirely and loves you utterly.

"Maybe it's just my imagination...." Is often said in the beginning of spiritual exploration as one begins to switch to from perception to reception.
Yet the mystic knows that the imagination is sanctified by the Spirit; it becomes a faculty of communion.

The key aspect of mystery is it's inherent inscrutibility. The fact that it is unknowable creates an open window in the structures of our mind. Mystery resist definition, it resist all of our frameworks and concepts.

A proper mystic has a profound awareness and appreciation for mystery.
Mystery in this context isnt a puzzle, riddle or problem to be solved, it refers to a reality so deep, so rich and so infinite that it can be enddlessly experience & known yet never fully comprehended.

If Christianity is to be reborn in our time it will be through a return to the inner work of transformation.

I'm wondering, like how did we get to a place where a Christian practicing an ancient form of meditation is seen as "New Age," but ignoring the transformative inner journey is seen as normal?
