The coup by stealth is in progress but most Americans are too naïve to notice.

He had earned his asylum support by working for CIA in Afghanistan. Something else has gone awry. But Trump should not have put her there.
What did this Afghan CIA operative shooter promise to gain asylum support?

Was someone else promised asylum, then Trump fk’d it all up?

Where’s the motive.

Maybe the US should get some pointers in how to prosecute felonious Presidents.

It mightn't have been such an issue if $Trump, who is making a chump of everybody, hadn't told the Taliban they could come back. Women in Afghanistan might still be getting educated.
I know people find it impossible to remember who was the president in 2020, but I *did* think they at least knew who the president was in 2025...

I agree. It's nice, but c'mon!

Heads, please. But whose? Someone knows.
This spook scandal cries out for investigation. ANAO, IGIS & PJCIS should all be on the case, but there should be public scrutiny, not the usual behind closed doors cover-up. High time too for senior bureaucrats publicly disclosed their interests. #auspol

In Australia recently: a deranged man set fire to a synagogue door. An immediate reaction from the Jewish community and instant sympathetic response from gov't; $millions were invested in improving antisemitism measures. A subsequent inquest found no antisemitic motives - just a nut case.
Why POC collectively hold our breath when there’s a mass shooting or high profile crime before the suspect is even identified:

• Afghan man shoots a National Guard member:
With zero knowledge of the background or motive, the right screams that Muslims are terrorists and must be deported.

$Trump, who is making a chump of everybody, wants to be Putin, the paragon of the oligarch's oligarch.
Russia is a terrorist state masquerading as a country. Trump aspires to make the US emulate Russia. If you think this is hyperbole, you're not paying attention.

She'd still be alive if $Trump, who is making a chump of everybody, hadn't been playing at tough guy.

$Trump the trinket collector.
Swiss lawmakers Raphaël Mahaim and Greta Gysin just asked prosecutors to investigate whether Trump’s gold bar and Rolex from Swiss business leaders broke the country’s anti-bribery laws. Why isn’t the Oversight Committee investigating this?

Shady Vance borrows his story from Sth Am where sacrifices were part and parcel. The Spanish Christians put paid to this unsavoury (no pun intended) practice by slaughtering everyone.
Vance loves to deploy fabricated racist fearmongering. First Haitians are eating the pets, now Indigenous people sacrificed children?! Sheesh.

Yes, $Trump, who is making a chump of everybody, did a deal with the Taliban that gave them all the encouragement they needed to crash back into power and turn the withdrawal into Saigonesque rout.
A reminder: Trump 1.0 ordered the Afghanistan withdrawal, and Trump 2.0 granted the shooter asylum this past April. Trump 2.0 also dismantled the joint terrorism task force, and gutted our national security apparatus.

For a start, we won't believe it if $Trump, who is making a chump of everybody, is not implicated.

We also won't believe it if:
- any perpetrators' names remain redacted;
- the work of the 1,000 agents scrubbing the files is not explained
- Bondi's and Patel's perjury goes without repercussions

A man who set fire to a Melbourne synagogue while worshippers were inside was motivated by mental illness rather than antisemitism, an Australian magistrate said on Monday. If everyone weren't so quick to react and allowed the situation to be examined, we'd have saved millions.

Yes, Labor has let us down.
If Labor (or any other govt. ) taxed companies properly and effectively, there would be no need for them to "encourage" more philanthropy. The need for charity should be seen as a failure of government. Companies only engage in charitable donations because there are tax benefits in doing so.

I totally get it, and I will protest alongside you. But we do have to deal with what is actually happening. John Howard got us into this pickle, and Albanese is not going to pull up stumps on commitments entered into. We may need to press for a change of leadership (not a change of gov't).
I don’t normally shame quote post but since the dude did to me I figure this is fair. The only way we save the human friendly climate is by leaving fossil carbon in the ground. If your take starts with “that’s just not happening” then you’re not thinking and your fatalism isn’t helpful.
Be that as it may, it isn't staying in the ground; contracts have been signed and it's being nearly given away to foreign users.

Getting more 💵 for ordinary Aussies from our LNG exports resonates with so many of you because you’re greedy and ignorant. LNG is 33% more climate damaging than coal and climate change is taking away everything you love about this country. Now wake the fuck up! The gas needs to stay underground.
