My male cat, Thor, thin, ~25" from tip of nose to end of back plus ~16" of tail, jumped into a bath tub full of cool water this morning. He immediately jumped out and raced around the house shedding water everywhere. I finally caught him and got him dried off. Love him.

In the saga of cats . . .

Occasionally, when I feel extra sick with the trump regime, I watch Wagner's the Ring Cycle by Opera North on youtube. I am overwhelmed by the first two operas. Not so much by the last two.
P.S. Wagner was a pos, but I read/listen after a copyright has expired for an author and its offspring.

So, this week has been hard. Very hard. On Monday we found out that my kind, gentle, perfect little man Fergus had diffuse, fast-moving cancer throughout his body. So we had to make the awful decision to say goodbye to him yesterday.

I have watched this clip of a Porcupine eating an apple every time I sign on since it was posted. However illogical, it somehow gives me a small hope that decent people will prevail in forging a better post-trump world.

I’ve spent a good chunk of my career relying on American science and engineering to keep me alive. Yesterday, RFK Jr. testified at the U.S. Senate Finance Committee. It was sad to see him try to destroy the life’s work of so many American scientists. He shouldn’t be in this job.
