amazing pic! Can you provide the rough coordinates? I want to take a look with Sentinel-2

could it also be related to a difference in water density or viscosity caused by salinity and temperature?

If you zoom in to the fronts of these fluvial plumes, you see floating green mats most probably composed of leaves the wind ripped from the trees link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/di4q

Sentinel-2 images of the region are cloudy, Sentinel-1 is not trivial to interpret, but the image does suggest widespread flooding immediately downstream. Definitely no major loss of upstream water level link.dataspace.copernicus.eu/l4iz

questions:
- do you use GSD-specific big bike bags, or standard bike panniers?
- can you really transport two adults (or teenager children) over distances, with meaningful speed?
- is it OK in the rain?

Which bands did you use? if you can send me a Copernicus Browser link, I would be happy to publish your script in the custom script repo and cite you (or is it already there?)

maybe also some activity on this Sentinel-2 image? Small smoke/vapor plume rising from crater? SWIR shows no warmth though. slink.dataspace.copernicus.eu/b6z1
