A couple of decades ago I worked with a woman who was a stenographer. She worked as a court reporter until the government found a way to replace her with a computer.
You don't see a lot of working stenographers anymore, unless they're working for the media, especially Conservative media.

I watched a clip of Kevin Hassett, a Trump official, trying to justify a 50% tariff on Brazil.
Throughout the interview, Hassett kept saying it was all part of Trump's efforts to bring in a "golden age" for America.
He smiled the whole time. I remember now why I distrust people who smile too much.

The term "moral injury" refers to being forced to witness or participate in actions that are morally offensive to you.
Any Americans experiencing this or are you good with what's happening? I suspect that a majority, 69%, are just fine with what's going on. I'm not so sure about the rest.

I'm kind of agnostic about whether there is an Afterlife. Nonetheless, I try to be kind (to non-MAGAts) and a decent person. The idea of spending eternity in Hell scares me, mainly because I would be spending it with Republicans and Conservatives from all over the world.

I'm a Canadian who works in healthcare. I'm not a doctor, nurse, or lab tech, but I do have access to people's health records, something I check before dealing with a crisis in Emergency.
It hit me today that, no matter how marginalized a person is, they get healthcare. We don't want to lose this.
