Im not comparing them at all, im just saying if its gonna happen, its gonna happen with or without a rifle.
"Oh, I guess I cant shoot up the school with this pistol" isn't a real thought. They'd do it with whatever they have on hand.

I think your missing the point of the entire population having access but.... go off. And Capitalism is capitalism. It exists with or without my consent.
Lets say we DID limit access to olympic level precision rifles. At that point, you're looking at a barrier of entry no less than 5K.

They dont. Like, other than improved accuracy at distance due to more points of contact... not much difference in terms of ease - particularly in a scenario where everyone else is unarmed. Thats fish in a barrel territory, regardless of whats being used. Again, Columbine.

Columbine, the og school shooting, didn't involve any semi-auto rifles. Just pistols and shotguns. Others have since, but my point is that they dont make it any easier if the targets are unarmed.
Theres a solve to school shootings, but banning guns is a fools errand, and would legit start a war.

If the opposing force is equipped with semiauto rifles... then yeah, you might as well have a slingshot. The other options are shotguns and pistols. Both leave you severely outgunned.
Granted, in this scenario, you're already outgunned by multiple attackers, but give yourself a fighting chance.

The 2A community is still unhappy with the $0 tax compromise, they dont want a registry at all, as they see that as an "infringement"
