My colleague Gayithri Jayathirtha in the UIUC College of Education is accepting a doctoral student for the coming academic year. If you are interested in computing education research and have experience working with K-12 teachers or have been a teacher yourself, maybe it’s a fit for you!

All @acm.org publications will be 100% Open Access as of January 2026. When we announced this at POPL and CHI this year, conference participants spontaneously erupted in applause. The CS community is excited about ACM's move to OA!

Trying to find something I should have saved when I first saw it: a "blog post" that enumerated a teacher's notes to self about teaching, ranging from minutiae of in-class interactions to lessons learned about course design.

If anyone has seen something similar I'd appreciate a pointer. Thanks!
