never use GIF for anything other than pixel art. a lossless video format with alpha channel is ideal, or if your software can export lossless animated AVIF, otherwise APNG or just a sequence of png files works. if forced to use GIF there's a tool called gifski that can export higher quality gifs

here to report that I can’t get mine to work with my owc tb4 dock or my dp 2.1 to usb c cable (even with the top usb c port powered). it’s not receiving power from the dock either but it gets usb. waiting for more info to crop up
