I was a bit lower on it myself (and I do like TJPW's more comedic matches so it isn't a dig om the style), but that still landed me in the "I really enjoyed it" range, it was a really fun time and the premise is so silly that I love it

They aren't completely worthless before the election as a prediction tool because the people participating in them have monetary incentives to get it right. But there will always be unknowns with this stuff until the actual votes come in.

The same was true with the NYC mayoral primaries. Mamdani outperformed the polling, so the betting markets had him slightly below Cuomo before the votes started being tabulated.

Nah, the other person is right. From my experience the betting sites are really accurate onces votes start being tabulated because people are running all their best models to decide what to buy and sell, but before that it's all based on the same guesswork the rest of us have.

Based on the numbers and counties where the votes are left, it is not too soon to call it.

He already is in Mexico! But he will be wherever he wrestles too.

Honestly this is such a stacked roster that there are, like, 10 different The Guys, at least. I do think it's probably gonna be a bit of an ensemble at the top because anything less would be a waste of Hangman, Swerve, Okada, Takeshita, Fletcher, Moxley, Darby, Toni, Mercedes, Ospreay, etc
November 28, 2025 at 9:00 PM
Honestly I also think the storyline right now with Hangman and Swerve is more exciting than the feud was before this show, so I'm excited to see how that turns out (especially since I started watching AEW right when Swerve left because of the injury).

On top of that, putting that match at the end makes it easier for people to avoid it if they want to (or if they want their kids to not see it). Although they put a couple of bloody matches in the middle of Full Gear so who knows

Honestly I thought the ordering worked because it let the Sting reveal and the Mox tap-out be the climax of the show. It worked really well! I think following that up with Hangman vs Joe, as opposed to the other way around, would have flowed more awkwardly.
November 28, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Another factor is that this is going to obviously lead to a full-on Okada and Takeshita feud, which is going to be super fun.
November 28, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Yeah, people are probably always gonna cheer Samoa Joe to some extent, not because of the storyline, but because it's Samoa Joe, and because Samoa Joe rules.
November 26, 2025 at 1:25 PM
This is bad for Hangman in the same way as Dusty Rhodes losing the title to Ric Flair was (i.e. it isn't, that's how wrestling goes)
November 25, 2025 at 2:28 AM
The last shot of Full Gear literally had Hangman and Swerve side by side looking for revenge, Hangman is very clearly still on the same level as he was before even if he lost the belt. I wish his reign was longer but this is my first time seeing a face champ lose to a heel live, of course I do
November 25, 2025 at 2:27 AM
That makes sense. I guess if he drops it there, that could be a sign of a bigger AEW push.
November 24, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Bandido? Since he's not holding the tag belt anymore. On one hand, having him work with Hangman and Swerve would hopefully do wonders for him, but also not giving him a proper singles push seems like a weird choice.
November 24, 2025 at 8:05 PM
I do wish he'd gotten more time with it, but either way I'm more interested in the stories now compared to before the PPV (even if losing the title hinging around a Hook heel turn feels pretty dumb and is my biggest complaint). This obviously won't hurt Hangman's perception among fans regardless.
November 24, 2025 at 2:12 AM
I do think that losing it on a Hook heel turn was pretty disappointing, but also there are more potentially interesting story directions to go from here compared to what there could have been if Hangman won. Overall my thoughts on it are probably gonna depend on what happens after.

I knew I heard him say that! And looking at his Bluesky he's posting Umamusume screenshots lmao
November 16, 2025 at 1:55 AM
I went from not knowing any wrestling a few months ago to going insane over Blood and Guts on Wednesday, so new sickos exist! Although the political aspect (with WWE being MAGA) pushed me to AEW as much as the stylistic aspect did.
November 14, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I may not be the most sane person ever for liking it, but looking at the original image, better this than unironically paying money to Elon for a blue check lmao
November 13, 2025 at 3:44 AM
I only started watching AEW after All In this year (and have gone back to watch it through the start of the early pandemic) and that was the best AEW TV event I've seen. Holy shit
November 13, 2025 at 3:40 AM
If he goes heel and does it well, I'll be happy to boo him because that's the reaction he wants and it's fun to do. But yeah, unless it turns out he's a hypocrite about this (not saying he is, but you never know with famous people) I'm not gonna be booing him out of actual dislike.
