Do I think AI is stealing:
"AI" is a vague term. Asking an AI model to generate a black background would definitely not be stealing, but taking someone else's work and passing it through an img to img model at 2% strength definitely would be. I have no idea where to draw the line between the two.

Why post on Bluesky instead of twitter?:
I don't plan to talk about politics on this account, but supporting the "my heart goes out to you" guy is a little much for me, even if it means being on a less popular platform that dislikes my work far more.

Why my generation is done locally:
AI companies will take away or change tools the moment it suits them. Local generation is better for both learning and ensuring you never lose access to your models.
This also prevents more data from being stolen to train more AI.
