How are we supposed to learn what the wackos think if places like the NYT don't report what they think? .... sometimes in their own words?

I was glad to read the article. I didn't know anything about this guy or the influence he has in Republican circles. I wouldn't call this platforming. For me at least, it was an education into the deluded ahistorical fantasies that a growing number of Americans are subject to.
