Total bases are just bases accrued on hits, if you counted walks it would look a little less impressive because he also walked three Brewers

Can you link the expression you were using to do this?

Dave has seemingly figured out that Kirby Yates is bad, I don't understand why he thinks Scott is suddenly gonna become different if he keeps getting save situations

He also has 6 XBH (3 HR, probably should be 7 XBH if he had been hustling out of the box on that long single today) since August 25. I'm hesitant to declare that he's back, but he might just be back.

I guess the actual question is why do you think that Hope's swing-and-miss is less concerning than slightly more passiveness in the zone even by someone who hasn't had much chance to fully realize their power yet
August 18, 2025 at 4:57 PM
(sorry for missing the prospects definition, skimmed over it)
August 18, 2025 at 4:39 PM
His raw power is incredible, but he's not particularly more aggressive than De Paula (37.9% swing rate, 16.5% CStr rate for De Paula/41.8% and 16.0% for Hope), De Paula is still 20 so I don't think there's a rush on his power actualizing, and whiff problems in the low minors are typically concerning
August 18, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Also also why are some guys listed as "OF" and some guys are listed at specific corners? (plus De Paula is listed as CF which he most definitely is not)
August 18, 2025 at 3:25 PM
I don't see how you can possibly rank Zyhir Hope in the top-25 with his abysmal contact rates in the low minors. I love him but it just seems more unsustainable than guys like De Paula who might be too passive right now.
Also why are you still counting Rushing and Sasaki as prospects but not Anthony

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, point guard for the OKC thunder

this isn't fair
June 15, 2025 at 11:48 PM
I'm sure it's fine in the long run and of course they know what they're doing, but it still annoys me how conservative the org has become with prospects
June 15, 2025 at 8:07 AM
Makes sense I guess, still though it feels like they could promote him to get more playing time for Sirota, who's barely played half of the team's games since getting promoted
June 15, 2025 at 8:06 AM
I mean probably there's a reason I don't work in an MLB front office, but surely he could just as well work on whatever mechanical thing he's supposed to be working on while also facing pitching that actually challenges him a little
June 15, 2025 at 7:42 AM
can't until the 9th!
June 15, 2025 at 4:14 AM
Sure, no rush, but it seems like they're having trouble finding playing time for everyone, e.g. Mike Sirota has only played 16/26 games since getting sent up to Midland
June 12, 2025 at 11:07 PM
Similar with Zyhir Hope, more swing and miss but I don't see how you're gonna fix that by keeping him in Great Lakes where he's just absolutely feasting on A+ pitching. I know the org generally takes things slow with prospects, but still this just seems absurd.
