Getting off the Bird app, looking for covid research and data. Hoping the next 4 years won’t be as dark as I fear.
If you go to an emergency room and don’t wear a mask, you’re a selfish prick. Same for oncology wards. Quite honestly, same for anywhere in a hospital. It’s about the easiest thing you can do to protect others.

Great interview, worth a listen.
I'll be on CBC's All In A Day later this afternoon, talking about COVID's 5th anniversary. But the interview was pre-recorded, and here it is:

Proud to be a Canadian. Video from today’s Elbows Up rally on Parliament Hill.
Americans, we have no interest in being part of your country. Clean up your house and become good neighbours again.

Next week on #CrossCountryFuckUp.
With the threat of tarrifs, Canada is thinking about its resources. Should we start clear-cut logging our entire National Park System? Should Parks Canada have any say? We asked Tom, CEO of Domtar, and Darryl, who used to work at Beaver Lumber to join us.

Slowly, slowly… this train is pulling out of the station.

Please don't call what RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya are going to do medieval. It's not medieval. It's nothing like the Middle Ages. People in the Middle Ages were happy to try all kinds of things to not die of the plague and if you'd given them antibiotics and vaccines they would have loved it.

Some random Nazi made dozens of accounts to try to harass me today when blocking malfunctioned, & *still* failed because not one single person engaged.

It seems everyone on Bluesky got the memo. React to nothing. Starve them out.

They're so desperate for a crumb of attention. Deny them.

In the past few weeks I’ve had the vaccines for Covid, flu and tetanus. Why?
BECAUSE VACCINES SAVE LIVES!
I cannot believe we are in a world where that is being debated.

In the last couple of days I’ve heard of three kids under the age of 10 with pneumonia. As an elementary teacher I have maybe heard of three kids with pneumonia in 25 years.
Medical and public health colleagues, we need to do something about this “I have walking pneumonia” confusion.

Patients say, “I hear there’s a lot of walking pneumonia right now.”

What do they think it is caused by?

Pneumonia is caused by bacteria or viruses. Covid is a virus.

Also, mask up, eh.
